A handsome and unusual Edwardian biscuit box created in the form of traditional coopered barrel. The hinged lid works well and fits well and it topped with a shaped finial and there is a folding swing handle. Dating to c.1900, Edwardian in era, it remains in excellent antique condition. The base diameter measures 5 1/2", the lid diameter measures 4"; 6" tall to top of lid finial or 8 3/4" to top of handle while upright. Unmarked, surprisingly given the good quality.
