Description
Usually found in silver plate and not in solid silver, this hefty example is made from sterling silver and hallmarked for London 1907, over 100 years old and Edwardian in era. Also signed for the top-notch London silversmith "Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. Ltd."These holders make the most striking wine bottle holders on either a sideboard or dinner table, this one particularly decorative with it's Arts and Crafts pierced or reticulated work complimented by almost Art Nouveau inspired handles.
In wonderful undamaged condition measuring 6 1/2" tall; 7 1/2" across handle to handle and a base diameter measuring 5 1/2". Weighing (including turned wooden base): 21.08 Troy Ounces / 655.7 Grams.
