Description
A beautiful double compartment tea caddy, most unusual and with the benefit of the retailer's or silversmith's mark on the underside "W.S. Burton, 39 Oxford St." (in London's fashionable West End).
The box is covered all-over with exquisite chased work as are the two hinged lids on the interior. On the inside of the lid remains the the original deep red velvet with minor wear commensurate with age.
Excellent condition, alas, no key; measuring 6" x 4" x 4".
