A super wine or Champagne bottle holder dating to around 1920. The main body of the holder is pierced or reticulated with a series of overlapping circles creating a gothic quatrefoil cut-out.
The handles are very stylish and the rim decorated with a read and foliate sprig design.
The underside has a good clear mark for the The Alexander Clark Co. Ltd. which used the trade mark "Welbeck Plate".
As useful as decorative in excellent condition measuring 6 1/2" tall with a rim diameter measuring 4 1/2".
