A particularly special pair of LeMaire Opera glasses from Paris dating to c.1900.
What makes these stand out is that when they are focused using the wheel, the barrels that appear are usually just gilded brass where these are actually covered in Mother of Pearl too, beautiful quality.
Under the gilded frame if you look closely, is the trade mark for LeMaire, the engraved Napoleonic bee.
They have a two drawer telescopic handle, a truly grand pair. They come complete with a (new) little drawstring bag.
When closed up, they measure 4 3/4" x 2 3/8" x 2".
