An absolutely stunning English tortoiseshell photo frame with an attractive glossy patina showing off the tapestry of marking and colours of the shell.The shell has intricate silver pique inlay both at the top and bottom.
The frame stands on a solid Oak easel support. The frame, dating to around 1900, is in excellent condition and measures 5 1/4" tall x 5" wide; the glazed aperture has a diameter measuring 3 3/4".
