A fabulous Asparagus serving dish by the top-notch silversmith, Mappin & Webb, marked on the underside of the sauce boat.
The sauce boat sits in it's shaped cradle and is lavishly gilded on the interior . The set comes complete with Asparagus tongs.
Dating to around 1890, Victorian in era, the set remains in excellent condition. 10 1/2" x 11 3/4"; the tongs measuring 6 1/2" in length.
