Description

A wonderfully elegant late Victorian cake stand, simple yet very stylish, the kind one would expect to find in The Ritz, Savoy or Claridges!
The underside of the stand has a full mark for the Sheffield and London silversmith, MAXFIELD & SONS, dating to around 1890.
Excellent condition, a few minor blemishes to the plates, insignificant and mentioned purely for accuracy. The plate is intact and in excellent condition.
The footprint measures 9 1/8" x 11" the stand towers 16" to the top of the handle and each plate has a diameter measuring 7".
