handsome antique english galleried silver plate egg cruet by elkington 1850

Description

Made by the highly regarded English silversmith Elkington & Co, this stunning egg cruet is fully marked for Elkington & Mason together with the date letter for 1850, making this set 160 years old.
The six egg cups are beautifully reticulated or pierced to compliment the galleried stand which in turn stands on three decorative ball and claw feet. Complete with six egg spoons, these will be later, the stand are very rarely found with original spoons.
Excellent condition, measuring 7" in diameter x 9" tall.
