Description
Always popular are these antique bread forks, so very elegant on the table to serve all sorts of things.
They are particularly sought-after in sterling silver rather than silver plate and even more desirable with A decorative sterling silver handle.
The fork is beautifully engraved both sides and attached to the handle with a highly decorative ferrule, which bears the English design registration number which dates the piece to 1901.
There is also a full Hallmark for Sheffield 1901, a very late Victorian example. The makers initials are also present, I believe for Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd.
Excellent condition, measuring 8 1/8" long.
