A delightful little English sterling silver jewelry box with a full hallmark for Birmingham 1917. The makers initials HM are also present for the well renowned silversmith, Henry Matthews.
The gently domed lid is framed with an extremely elegant twisted rope border, the box standing on equally elegant legs.
The interior is a joy, lined with deep Amethyst coloured silk and velvet, the interior is lavishly gilded.
Excellent condition, measuring 3 1/4" x 2" x 1 1/2" tall.
