Description
A stunningly beautiful Britannia silver plated teapot dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890.
I had to buy this one simply for the beautiful decoration with a fluted bottom half and the top with engraved floral and foliate garlands tied with bows; the hinged lid too with pretty intricate engraving and a handsome finial.
The underside is fully marked for the Britannia trade mark and the silversmith, Philip Ashberry & Sons of Sheffield.
Excellent condition, minor wear commensurate with age 10 1/4" wide spout to handle x 7" tall to top of finial.
